Savavet Kiwof Plus Deworming Chewable Tablet for Dogs — Savavet | All Breeds
WHAT IS KIWOF PLUS CHEWABLE? Kiwof Plus Chewable is a broad-spectrum deworming tablet by Savavet, formulated with Ivermectin and Albendazole. The liver-flavoured chewable format makes administration easy — most dogs accept it voluntarily as a treat. It targets the most common intestinal worms affecting dogs in India. COMPOSITION Active Ingredient Action Ivermectin Roundworms, hookworms, mange mites Albendazole Roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms WHAT KIWOF PLUS CHEWABLE TREATS Roundworms — Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina Hookworms — Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala Whipworms — Trichuris vulpis Note: Kiwof Plus does not treat tapeworms. If tapeworm infestation is suspected, a product containing praziquantel is required alongside this treatment. HOW KIWOF PLUS CHEWABLE WORKS Ivermectin binds to glutamate-gated chloride channels in parasite nerve and muscle cells, causing paralysis and death of susceptible worms and ectoparasites. Albendazole works by inhibiting tubulin polymerisation in parasites, disrupting their cell structure and energy metabolism — leading to worm immobilisation and death. The combination provides coverage across multiple parasite classes. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Offer directly as a treat or place inside a small piece of food Dose calculated on body weight — select the correct tablet variant for your dog's weight Adult dogs: every 3 months for routine deworming Puppies under 6 months: more frequent deworming required — consult your vet Absorption of Albendazole is enhanced when given with food containing fat CRITICAL BREED WARNING Do not use in Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs, Australian Shepherds, or any herding breed. The ivermectin component is toxic to dogs carrying the MDR1 gene mutation. These dogs cannot safely metabolise ivermectin and face serious risk of neurological toxicity at standard doses. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Confirm your dog's breed with your vet before administering any ivermectin-containing product Not for puppies below 8 weeks of age without veterinary guidance Consult your vet before use in pregnant or lactating dogs Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight Keep out of reach of children Sold By: Pets Lifestyle — India's trusted online pet pharmacy Frequently Asked Questions — Kiwof Plus Chewable Tablets for Dogs What worms does Kiwof Plus Chewable treat in dogs? ▼ Kiwof Plus Chewable contains ivermectin and albendazole. This combination treats roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala), and whipworms (Trichuris vulpis). It does not treat tapeworms — if tapeworm infestation is suspected, a product containing praziquantel is required. My dog refuses tablets. Will the chewable format help? ▼ Yes — Kiwof Plus Chewable is liver-flavoured and designed to be accepted voluntarily by most dogs. It can be offered as a treat or placed inside a small piece of food if the dog is still reluctant. This format significantly reduces the stress of tablet administration for both the dog and the owner, especially for small breeds and dogs with a strong aversion to plain tablets. How often should Kiwof Plus be given? ▼ For adult dogs, Kiwof Plus is typically administered every 3 months as part of a routine deworming schedule. Puppies under 6 months should be dewormed more frequently — every 2–4 weeks initially, then monthly until 6 months of age. Dogs with heavy parasite exposure may need more frequent treatment as advised by your vet. Is Kiwof Plus safe for Collies and herding breeds? ▼ No. Kiwof Plus contains ivermectin, which is toxic to Collies, Shelties, Australian Shepherds, and other breeds carrying the MDR1 gene mutation. These dogs cannot safely metabolize ivermectin and are at risk of serious neurological effects including seizures and coma. Do not administer any ivermectin-containing product to these breeds without genetic testing and explicit veterinary guidance. At what age can puppies start Kiwof Plus Chewable? ▼ Kiwof Plus Chewable is generally appropriate for puppies from 8 weeks of age and above, provided they meet the minimum weight requirement for the dose. For very young puppies below 8 weeks, a dedicated puppy deworming suspension is the safer choice. Always confirm with your vet before starting any deworming protocol in puppies under 3 months.

Savavet Kiwof Plus XL Chewable Tablets for Large Dogs — Broad-Spectrum Dewormer by Savavet
WHAT IS KIWOF PLUS XL? Kiwof Plus XL is a higher-dose chewable deworming tablet by Savavet, formulated with Ivermectin and Albendazole at strengths appropriate for large and giant breed dogs. Using the standard Kiwof Plus Chewable tablet in a large dog results in underdosing — Kiwof Plus XL ensures the correct therapeutic dose is delivered in a single tablet. COMPOSITION Active Ingredient Action Ivermectin Roundworms, hookworms, mange mites Albendazole Roundworms, hookworms, whipworms Same active ingredients as Kiwof Plus Chewable — higher dose strength for larger body weight. WHAT KIWOF PLUS XL TREATS Roundworms — Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina Hookworms — Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala Whipworms — Trichuris vulpis Note: Does not treat tapeworms. Add a praziquantel-based product if tapeworm coverage is needed. HOW KIWOF PLUS XL WORKS Ivermectin causes paralysis and death of susceptible parasites by binding to glutamate-gated chloride channels in parasite nerve and muscle cells. Albendazole disrupts tubulin polymerisation in parasites, collapsing their cellular structure and blocking energy production. Together they provide coverage across roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Offer directly as a treat or place inside food Dose calculated on body weight — XL is for dogs above the weight range covered by standard Kiwof Plus Chewable Adult dogs: every 3 months for routine deworming Albendazole absorption is enhanced when given with food containing fat Do not improvise by using multiple standard tablets — use the variant that matches your dog's weight range CRITICAL BREED WARNING Do not use in Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs, Australian Shepherds, or any herding breed with the MDR1 gene mutation. Standard doses of ivermectin are toxic to these breeds and can cause seizures, coma, and death. Consult your vet for a safe alternative deworming product for these breeds. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Always weigh your dog before each deworming course Consult your vet before use in pregnant or lactating dogs Not recommended for puppies without veterinary guidance Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight Keep out of reach of children Sold By: Pets Lifestyle — India's trusted online pet pharmacy Frequently Asked Questions — Kiwof Plus XL Chewable Tablets for Dogs Who is Kiwof Plus XL designed for? ▼ Kiwof Plus XL is a higher-dose chewable deworming tablet formulated for large and giant breed dogs. If your dog weighs above the threshold covered by the standard Kiwof Plus Chewable tablet, XL provides the correct therapeutic dose in a single tablet. Using the standard tablet in a large dog results in underdosing — always select the variant that matches your dog's current weight. Does Kiwof Plus XL treat the same worms as the standard Chewable? ▼ Yes. Kiwof Plus XL contains the same active ingredients — ivermectin and albendazole — as the standard Kiwof Plus Chewable, at a higher dose appropriate for larger body weight. It treats roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. It does not cover tapeworms — a praziquantel-based product must be added if tapeworm treatment is needed. Can I give two standard Kiwof Plus tablets instead of one XL tablet? ▼ This is not recommended without veterinary guidance. The XL tablet is formulated specifically for accurate dosing in larger dogs — improvising with multiple smaller tablets may not provide the correct ratio of active ingredients or could result in dosing errors. Use the variant that is indicated for your dog's weight range to ensure safety and efficacy. How often should Kiwof Plus XL be administered? ▼ Every 3 months for healthy adult dogs in routine deworming programs. Large breed dogs that spend time outdoors, interact frequently with other animals, or live in high-parasite-burden environments may require more frequent treatment. Your vet will advise based on your dog's specific risk level and stool examination findings. Is Kiwof Plus XL safe for Collies, Shelties, and Australian Shepherds? ▼ No. Like all ivermectin-containing products, Kiwof Plus XL must not be administered to Collies, Shetland Sheepdogs, Australian Shepherds, and other herding breeds with the MDR1 (ABCB1) gene mutation. These dogs have a compromised blood-brain barrier for ivermectin and face serious risk of neurological toxicity at standard doses. Consult your vet for safe alternatives for these breeds.
