Direction for use- Turn the nozzle on and then apply liberally into the ear canal. Gently massage the base of the ear and wipe the ear with a clean cloth or cotton.. How does it work Doxycycline works to harm the bacteria and fight the infection. How should this medicine be used Adults: The usual dose is 200 mg on the first day of treatment in divided doses, followed by a maintenance dose of 100 mgday. Child: The recommended dosage is 2 mglb of body weight divided into two doses. It comes as a capsule and suspension to take by mouth, with food. Common side effects of this medicine Belly pain. Upset stomach or throwing up. Many small meals, good mouth care, sucking hard, sugar-free candy, or chewing sugar-free gum may help. Loose stools (diarrhea). Yogurt or probiotics may help.
