Vetachlor-M contains the anti-fungal agent Miconazole and the antiseptic Chlorhexidine. While miconazole provides relief from dermatological conditions associated with fungal infections like ringworm, superficial skin infections, chlorhexidine is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial with demonstrated activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, and viruses.
Vetachlor-M is indicated for the fungal infections and dermatitis associated with Staphylococcus intermedius, Microsporum canis, Microsporum gypseum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
Savavet Vetachlor-M® Spray is a broad-spectrum topical antimicrobial and antifungal solution specially formulated for dogs and cats. It contains Miconazole Nitrate (2% w/v), an effective antifungal agent, and Chlorhexidine Gluconate (2% w/v), a potent antibacterial agent. Together, they provide a synergistic effect against fungal infections, bacterial dermatitis, and mixed microbial skin disorders in pets.
This easy-to-use spray is highly effective in controlling skin conditions caused by Staphylococcus intermedius, Malassezia pachydermatis, Microsporum canis, Microsporum gypseum, and Trichophyton mentagrophytes. Vetachlor-M® helps to manage dermatitis, fungal skin infections, yeast infections, and bacterial overgrowth, restoring skin health while reducing itchiness, redness, and discomfort.

Pharmacology
Chlorhexidine Gluconate:
Broad-spectrum antimicrobial active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
Exhibits both bacteriostatic and bactericidal activity depending on concentration
Acts by interfering with energy transport mechanisms and coagulating bacterial cell contents
Effective against Staphylococcus intermedius, with no reported resistance
Miconazole Nitrate:
Potent imidazole antifungal agent
Effective against yeasts like Malassezia pachydermatis and fungi including Microsporum spp. and Trichophyton spp.
Mode of action: Inhibits ergosterol incorporation into fungal cell membranes, leading to increased cytotoxic hydrogen peroxide and fungal death
Exhibits both fungicidal and fungistatic activity
