  • Vetplus Calmex Stress Relief Nutraceutical Supplement for Dogs (10 Tablets / 60 Tablets)

VetPlus Vetplus Calmex Stress Relief Nutraceutical Supplement for Dogs (10 Tablets / 60 Tablets)

Vetplus Calmex® for Dogs is a scientifically formulated veterinary nutraceutical designed to help manage stress, anxiety, and behavioural issues in dogs. Developed by VetPlus, Calmex® contains a unique combination of natural calming nutrients that support the dog’s neurological and emotional balance during stressful situations. Dogs can experience stress and anxiety due to multiple triggers such as travel, loud noises, separation anxiety, veterinary visits, grooming sessions, environmental changes, or training situations. Stress may manifest as excessive barking, destructive behaviour, trembling, panting, pacing, or aggression. Calmex® helps support the nervous system and promotes relaxation without causing sedation. This highly palatable tablet formulation contains Phosphatidylserine (from Lecithin), Rhodiola rosea, L-Tryptophan, Passiflora incarnata, and B Vitamins, which work synergistically to support serotonin pathways, reduce stress responses, and improve emotional stability in dogs. Calmex® is one of the only canine calming supplements on the market containing both Phosphatidylserine and Rhodiola rosea, two ingredients known for their ability to support stress adaptation and cognitive balance. It is suitable for both acute stress situations (such as fireworks, travel, vet visits, and grooming) and chronic anxiety conditions, including separation anxiety or behavioural training support. Regular supplementation helps dogs remain calm, balanced, and more responsive to behavioural training, making it an excellent supportive supplement for both pet owners and veterinary professionals. VetPlus Vetplus Calmex Stress Relief Nutraceutical Supplement for Cats (60 ml)

Vetplus Calmex® for Cats is a veterinary nutraceutical liquid supplement specially designed to help manage stress, anxiety, and behavioural changes in cats. Developed by VetPlus, Calmex® contains a unique blend of scientifically selected ingredients that support the natural calming pathways in the feline nervous system. Cats are highly sensitive animals and may experience stress due to changes in their environment, unfamiliar situations, veterinary visits, travel, or loud noises. Stress in cats can lead to behavioural issues such as hiding, aggression, inappropriate urination, excessive grooming, and reduced appetite. Calmex® helps support emotional balance by providing nutrients that assist in the production of calming neurotransmitters in the brain. This highly palatable liquid formulation can be administered directly or mixed with food, making it convenient for daily use. The formulation includes Phosphatidylserine, L-Tryptophan, and essential B Vitamins, which work together to support healthy brain function, improve mood balance, and help reduce anxiety responses. Calmex® is suitable for both acute stress situations, such as veterinary visits, grooming appointments, travelling, or loud noises, as well as chronic stress conditions, including environmental changes, introduction of new pets, or kennel/cattery stays. Dog Anxiety Is Not One Condition — It Requires Matching the Right Product to the Right Trigger

Separation distress, noise phobia from firecrackers or thunderstorms, motion sickness during travel, and generalised fear aggression each present differently and respond to different treatments. A calming collar will not fix separation anxiety. A sedative will not fix noise phobia long-term. Getting the match right matters.

What is Available and How Each Works

Products here include Zylkene (alpha-casozepine — non-sedating, derived from milk protein), Adaptil pheromone diffusers and collars, Anxicare tablets, melatonin-based calming supplements, herbal calming pastes, and Calmpose Vet (prescription only) for clinically confirmed anxiety disorders. Zylkene is particularly suitable for travel and event-based anxiety — it does not sedate and can be given daily without dependence concerns.

Timing Matters More Than Most Pet Owners Realise

Pheromone products work best when started 2-3 weeks before an anticipated stressful event — not on the day of Diwali. If your dog shows aggression alongside anxiety, supplementation alone is insufficient; a combination of behavioural therapy and veterinary-supervised medication is required.
