Mechanism of Action
Enrofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing DNA replication and bacterial cell division. This rapidly kills susceptible bacteria and helps resolve infections efficiently.
Dosage & Administration

Drug Interactions
Avoid concurrent use with:
- Chloramphenicol
- Macrolide antibiotics
- Tetracycline antibiotics
Enrofloxacin may increase blood levels of Theophylline; dosage adjustments may be required when both medications are used together.
Contraindications & Warnings
- Do not use in dogs less than 1 year of age.
- Do not use in large-breed dogs during the rapid growth phase (generally under 18 months of age) because fluoroquinolones may affect developing articular cartilage.
- Not recommended for kittens less than 8 weeks of age.
- Use only under veterinary supervision.
