FURTROP™ Eye Drops is a veterinary ophthalmic formulation containing Tropicamide 0.8% w/v and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 5% w/v, designed to induce pupil dilation (mydriasis) for diagnostic and surgical procedures in dogs and cats. This combination provides rapid and effective dilation, allowing veterinarians to examine the retina, lens and other intraocular structures with clarity.
Tropicamide relaxes the sphincter muscles of the iris, while Phenylephrine stimulates the dilator muscles, producing wide and sustained pupil dilation. FURTROP™ is commonly used before eye examinations, imaging, fundoscopy, and pre-operative preparation.
