Feeding Guidelines (Adult Guinea Pigs – Over 6 Months)
Feed approximately 1/8 cup pellets daily along with unlimited fresh grass hay.
Although Oxbow Essentials Adult Guinea Pig Food provides complete nutrition, guinea pigs should always have access to fresh hay such as Timothy hay, Orchard grass hay, Oat hay or Botanical hay for additional fibre.
Always provide fresh, clean drinking water.
This product is not recommended for growing, pregnant or nursing guinea pigs. During these stages, Oxbow Essentials Young Guinea Pig Food should be fed.
Transition Guide
Gradually introduce the new food over 4 weeks.
Week 1: 3 parts current food + 1 part new food
Week 2: 2 parts current food + 2 parts new food
Week 3: 1 part current food + 3 parts new food
