Mankind Nufource Pet is a prescription veterinary antifungal medication containing Itraconazole, formulated for the treatment of a wide range of fungal infections in dogs and cats. Available in 100 mg and 200 mg tablet strengths, Nufource Pet effectively treats superficial and systemic fungal infections by inhibiting fungal cell membrane synthesis, thereby stopping fungal growth and preventing the spread of infection.
Itraconazole is recognized for its broad-spectrum antifungal activity and is commonly prescribed for conditions such as dermatophytosis (ringworm), yeast infections, aspergillosis, blastomycosis, cryptococcosis, histoplasmosis, pythiosis, and Valley Fever (Coccidioidomycosis). Compared to several other antifungal medications, itraconazole offers excellent tissue penetration, a broad antifungal spectrum, and convenient dosing protocols under veterinary supervision.
Nufource Pet is suitable for both dogs and cats and should only be administered under the guidance of a registered veterinarian.
