DOXYPET 100 is a veterinary antibiotic and probiotic combination for treating bacterial infections in dogs. Each tablet contains Doxycycline Hydrochloride, a broad-spectrum antibacterial agent made from oxytetracycline, and Lactic Acid Bacillus, a beneficial probiotic that helps maintain a healthy gut during antibiotic treatment.
Doxycycline has high lipid solubility and excellent bioavailability (90-100%) with a long half-life, ensuring ongoing antibacterial action. Lactic Acid Bacillus, a gram-positive spore-forming bacterium, promotes gastrointestinal balance by replenishing good microflora and fighting harmful microbes.

Dosage & Administration
Recommended dose: 10 mg/kg body weight (One tablet per 10 kg), once daily for 7-28 days depending on the infection's severity and type
Give during meal time to lessen gastrointestinal side effects
In cats, if oral tablets are given, follow with at least 6 mL of water to prevent esophageal irritation (Note: DOXYPET 100 is mainly for dogs)
Contraindications
Do not use in pregnant or nursing animals
Avoid in animals with known sensitivity to doxycycline or other tetracyclines

Risk of skin reactions after sun/UV exposure during treatment
Avoid giving dry pills, especially to cats, without water
May cause vomiting or throat irritation in sensitive animals
Drug Interactions
Avoid using with β-lactam antibiotics
Absorption may decrease with iron supplements, antacids, or oral absorbents
Barbiturates and phenytoin may reduce the duration of doxycycline's effect
