Savavet Metaflam Tab (Meloxicam) For Dogs 1 mg, 10 Tabs

Description

Meloxicam which is formulated in savavet Metaflam tab is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory compound of the oxicam group which acts by inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.

Meloxicam exerts anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, analgesic, and antipyretic effects. It inhibits leukocyte infiltration into the inflamed tissue and prevents bone and cartilage destruction.

INDICATIONS:

Alleviation of inflammation and pain in both acute and chronic musculoskeletal disorders in dogs.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Treatment is to be continued once daily by oral administration (at 24-hour intervals) at a maintenance dose of 0.1 mg meloxicam body weight which corresponds to the daily maintenance dose for a ten kg or a 25 kg weight dog respectively. Meloxicam chewable tablets are often administered with or without food.
Dosage is dependent on the idle weight oh the dog 
A clinical response is usually seen within 3-4 days. Treatment should be discontinued after 10 days at the newest if no clinical improvement is clear.

Cautions Of Savavet Metaflam Tab (Meloxicam) 1 mg :

Do not use it in pregnant or lactating animals.
Do not use in dogs suffering from gastrointestinal disorders such as irritation and hemorrhage, impaired hepatic, cardiac, or renal function, and hemorrhagic disorders.
Do not use in dogs less than 6 weeks of age or less than 4 kg body weight.
Do not use in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.

Meloxicam should not be administered concurrently with steroidal or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aminoglycoside antibiotics, or anticoagulant agents
