Pentorse 100 is an injectable joint-support therapy containing 100 mg/ml of Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium, a semi-synthetic polysulfated polysaccharide derived from beechwood. It is indicated for the management of non-infectious inflammatory joint diseases and osteoarthritis in dogs. Pentorse helps relieve pain, improve mobility, protect cartilage, and promote joint regeneration, providing long-lasting benefits in canine osteoarthritis management.

Major Causes of Osteoarthritis in Dogs
• Large and giant breeds such as German Shepherds, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, and Great Danes

Contraindications and Precautions
Do not use in cases of septic arthritis. Appropriate antimicrobial therapy should be instituted instead.
Avoid use in dogs with:
• Advanced liver disease
• Kidney impairment
• Active infections
• Blood clotting disorders
• Bleeding tendencies
• Malignancies, particularly haemangiosarcoma
Pentosan Polysulfate possesses anticoagulant properties and should not be administered:
• During the pre-operative period
• In skeletally immature dogs whose growth plates have not closed
• In pregnant or lactating bitches
Drug Interactions
• Do not administer together with NSAIDs, especially aspirin, as they may increase anticoagulant effects.
• Corticosteroids may antagonize several beneficial actions of Pentosan Polysulfate.
Dosage and Administration
Dogs: 3 mg/kg body weight administered subcutaneously.
Equivalent dose: 1 ml per 33 kg body weight
Inject every 5–7 days for four weeks (total of four injections).
Treatment may be repeated after a one-month rest period.
Do not exceed three treatment courses per year (maximum 12 injections annually).

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C and protect from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
