Description

CLAVPET 250 is a broad-spectrum antibiotic for dogs and cats, formulated with Amoxicillin (a β-lactam penicillin that disrupts bacterial cell wall synthesis) and Clavulanic Acid (a β-lactamase inhibitor that protects Amoxicillin from resistance). This synergistic action makes CLAVPET 250 highly effective against a wide range of bacterial infections including skin, dental, urinary tract, ear, and soft tissue infections. Composition (per uncoated chewable tablet)

Amoxicillin Trihydrate USP equivalent to Amoxicillin – 200 mg
Clavulanate Potassium USP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid – 50 mg

Indications

Dogs

Skin infections (wounds, abscesses, cellulitis)
Periodontal infections caused by aerobic & anaerobic bacteria
Acute otitis media

Cats

Skin infections (wounds, abscesses, cellulitis/dermatitis)
Urinary tract infections (cystitis due to susceptible E. coli)

- Periodontal infections: 5–7 days
- Pyoderma: up to 21 days (not exceeding 30 days)
- Reassess if no improvement after 5 days
