Description

CLAVPET 500 is a broad-spectrum veterinary antibiotic designed for medium to large breed dogs and cats with severe or recurrent infections. Each chewable tablet combines Amoxicillin, a β-lactam penicillin that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, with Clavulanic Acid, a β-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacterial resistance. This synergistic formula makes CLAVPET 500 highly effective against skin, dental, ear, urinary tract, and soft tissue infections.

Composition (per uncoated chewable tablet)

Amoxicillin Trihydrate USP equivalent to Amoxicillin – 400 mg
Clavulanate Potassium USP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid – 100 mg
Colour: Erythrosine

Indications

Dogs

Skin & soft tissue infections (wounds, abscesses, cellulitis)
Periodontal infections from aerobic & anaerobic bacteria
Acute otitis media

Cats

Skin infections (abscesses, wounds, cellulitis/dermatitis)
Urinary tract infections such as cystitis (caused by susceptible E. coli)

Dosage & Administration

- Periodontal infections: 5–7 days
- Pyoderma: up to 21 days (maximum 30 days)
