Dosage & Administration
Recommended dose: 5 mg/kg body weight once daily (or divided into two doses) for 3–10 days, with or without food.

Contraindications & Warnings

Contraindicated in pets hypersensitive to fluoroquinolones.

Do not exceed recommended dosage (cats are highly sensitive to overdose → risk of retinal toxicity).

Not for dogs under 1 year of age, or large breeds under 18 months (risk of cartilage damage).

Not for kittens under 8 weeks of age.

Avoid use for prophylaxis.

Wash hands after handling.
Drug Interactions

Do not administer with chloramphenicol, macrolides, or tetracyclines.

May increase blood levels of theophylline – adjust dose accordingly.

Adverse Reactions

Overdose can cause vomiting, diarrhea, or behavioral/CNS changes (treatment is symptomatic only).
