Description

FIRO-GARD™ PRO Yum-Tab! is a protein-flavoured, highly palatable chewable tablet for dogs, formulated with Firocoxib (a COX-2 selective NSAID) and Lactobacillus acidophilus to provide safe and effective pain relief. It is indicated for managing pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis as well as post-operative pain following soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.

Unlike traditional NSAIDs, FIRO-GARD™ PRO selectively inhibits COX-2, sparing COX-1 activity and therefore reducing gastrointestinal and renal side effects. The added probiotic helps maintain gut balance, reducing the risk of digestive upset during long-term therapy.

Composition
Each uncoated Yum-Tab contains:

Firocoxib – 57 mg / 227 mg
Lactobacillus acidophilus – 50 million CFU
Excipients – q.s.

Indications

Control of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis in dogs (chronic joint pain, stiffness, lameness).
Management of post-surgical pain and inflammation after soft tissue or orthopedic surgeries.
Suitable for long-term use under veterinary supervision.

Dosage & Administration

Recommended dosage: 5 mg/kg (2.27 mg/lb) body weight once daily.
Administer approximately 2 hours before surgery for post-operative use.
Continue daily dosing for 3 days post-surgery, and longer for osteoarthritis as per veterinarian’s advice.
Tablets may be divided into halves or quarters for accurate dosing.
