PETMEDIN™ 10 mg Yum-Tab is a highly palatable, protein-flavored heart medication for dogs with congestive heart failure (CHF) due to dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) or valvular insufficiency. Manufactured at Veko Care’s WHO-GMP certified facility, it strengthens heart contractions, promotes vasodilation, and improves survival time and quality of life. Moisture-resistant blister strips ensure long-lasting potency.

Composition

  • Pimobendan Ph.Eur – 10 mg

  • Excipients – q.s.

Indications

  • Management of CHF in dogs

  • Preclinical DCM in large breed dogs to delay CHF onset

  • Dogs with enlarged hearts from mitral valve disease to reduce heart size and prolong life

Dosage & Administration

Pharmacology

  • Category: Inodilator (Calcium sensitizer + Phosphodiesterase III inhibitor)

  • Pimobendan increases calcium sensitivity of cardiac myofilaments and inhibits phosphodiesterase III, improving cardiac output and vasodilation.

Warnings & Precautions

  • Use only in dogs with cardiac insufficiency

  • Avoid in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or conditions restricting cardiac output

  • Do not exceed recommended dosage

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets

Side Effects

Rare side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or anorexia. Effects are usually dose-dependent and reversible by adjusting the dose.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from food, pets, and children.
