PETMEDIN™ 2.5 mg Yum-Tab is a highly palatable, protein-flavored heart medication for dogs with congestive heart failure (CHF) caused by dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) or valvular insufficiency. Manufactured at Veko Care’s WHO-GMP certified facility, these tablets improve heart function, enhance quality of life, and increase survival time. Moisture-resistant blister strips ensure long-term stability.

Composition

  • Pimobendan Ph.Eur – 2.5 mg

  • Excipients – q.s.

Indications

  • Treatment of CHF in dogs due to DCM or valvular insufficiency

  • Management of preclinical DCM in large breed dogs

  • Dogs with enlarged hearts from mitral valve disease to slow progression and improve survival

Pharmacology

  • Category: Inodilator (Calcium sensitizer + Phosphodiesterase III inhibitor)

  • Pimobendan increases calcium sensitivity in heart muscles and inhibits phosphodiesterase III, improving cardiac output and vasodilation.

Warnings & Precautions

  • Use only in dogs with cardiac insufficiency

  • Avoid in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or conditions restricting cardiac output

  • Do not exceed the recommended dose

  • Keep out of reach of children

Side Effects

Rarely, vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, or anorexia may occur. Usually dose-dependent and reversible by adjusting dosage.

Storage

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from food, pets, and children.
