Veko SebOUT Shampoo is a medicated shampoo formulated to manage bacterial and fungal skin infections in pets. It combines the powerful antiseptic properties of Chlorhexidine Gluconate with the antifungal action of Miconazole Nitrate, making it effective against a broad range of skin conditions.

Key Ingredients & How They Work:

1. Chlorhexidine Gluconate

  • Uses: Primarily used to treat gum inflammation and oral odor in veterinary settings, it also acts as a potent antiseptic for topical skin infections.

  • Mechanism: Kills bacteria by breaking down their cell walls.

  • Common Side Effects:

    • Altered taste (if licked),

    • Skin irritation at the site of application,

    • Burning, itching, or blistering,

    • Temporary discoloration of teeth (oral use only).

2. Miconazole Nitrate (Topical)

  • Uses: Treats fungal infections such as ringworm, yeast infections, and other dermatophytosis.

  • Mechanism: Inhibits the production of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes.

  • Common Side Effects:

    • Skin redness,

    • Burning or stinging sensation,

    • Rash or blistering.

Indications:

  • Fungal skin infections (dermatophytosis, yeast dermatitis)

  • Bacterial dermatitis

  • Seborrheic conditions

  • Odor control in pets with chronic skin conditions

Directions for Use:

  • Wet the coat thoroughly with warm water.

  • Apply a generous amount of shampoo and massage into the coat.

  • Leave on for 5–10 minutes.
