Torsemide has a higher bioavailability and longer duration of action in comparison to furosemide. It has 20 times more diuretic effects in comparison to furosemide.
Indication / Usage:
It is indicated in dogs and cats for the treatment / clinical management of
Oedema (Fluid retention; excess fluid held in body tissues) is caused by various medical problems, including heart, kidney, or liver disease (Ascites).

Dosage/ Administration / Feeding Directions:
The recommended dose of torasemide is 0.1 – 0.6 mg per kg body weight, once daily. The dose can be increased or decreased as directed by the veterinarian.
